What is Selva Azul? What is it not? Selva Azul is a small residential community
in the small village of San Pancho, in the Mexican federal state of Nayarit, not
far north of famous Puerto Vallarta. It is located next to the Costa Azul section
of San Pancho, and where most of the roads and the traffic end, Selva Azul begins.
It is hidden in the jungle, and when you pass by, you may not believe that most
of the lots have splendid views of the Pacific Ocean, of the mountains and of
the spectacular sunsets - all year round! But before and above everything else,
Selva Azul wants to be a form of living, a lifestyle . And this lifestyle which
we try to achieve can be summed up easily with two words: Respect and Friendliness
. Respect, in the first place, for the environment . For the beautiful, magnificent
jungle. For the palm and the higuera blanca trees whose exact age no one seems
to know - that's how old they are. Respect for the birds, for the iguanas, for
the tejones - we want to live with them, not scare them away. Respect, then, for
our neighbors. Do nothing to them that we do not want them to do to us. It is
as easy as that! And to ensure that there will be some rules and regulations we
all will have to live by. But respect is not enough. Friendship, like love, is
a gift from heaven. It cannot be acquired, it cannot be forced. It is not a form
of behavior. But friendliness is! Friendlin, so terribly undervalued in these
times, is a form of human conduct. Friendliness is achievable if we want to. Friendliness
eases the pain and calms the stress of life. Friendliness makes the day look bright,
even if the sun does not shine. And therefore we want Selva Azul to be a friendly
community . If it should turn out to be a community of friends - so much the better.
But with Respect and Friendliness as cornerstones, we all should be able to live
there happily. Selva Azul does not want to be the most expensive or the most luxurious
community. But it definitely strives for excellence as far as architecture and
blending in with the environment is concerned . It is a tropical development.
It wants air, open spaces, bold colors, palapas , unexpected views .. And it wants
a smart use of today's technologies. Use of solar energy where possible, for instance.
Storage of rain water. Nature, Art and High Tech, that should be the three pillars
that define and distinguish Selva Azul. This can only be achieved, if we all work
together, if we agree on a common goal: to live in peace with nature, and with
